Our home and business, Chaos Cottage, embraces a cottage and English country house aesthetic and a slower, more mindful way of living. That said, life is real, hence the "Chaos" but it's chaos in a good way.
Nestled in the Yorkshire countryside, our world is defined by muddy boots, silly spaniels, and multi-generational living. We grow what we can, care for what we have, and try to live in a way that is thoughtful and kinder to both the planet and to ourselves.
We curate antique and vintage pieces not because they are fashionable, but because they are unique and have personality. Furniture with good bones, art with soul, and objects that already carry a story, chosen to be used, repurposed and passed on rather than replaced.
Every piece of furniture, art or homeware (or books - we love books) is selected for its craftsmanship, character and lasting value.
We have renounced 'disposable' and 'fast', embracing beautiful, practical investment pieces that belong in homes with heart.
